Tribute to J dilla, legendary innovator and pioneer of hiphop sampling culture.

My art practice is very inspired by music making, cutting and sampling references, and turning it into something new. I can never photo copy something exactly as it is. dna and style seeps into everything you touch so enjoy the outcome as it blooms.

I sat for hours painting this, listening to documentaries and interviews from the legend. Rip
